Find the problems. Fix them. Your machine will stop chasing ghosts. It will run reliably. Sensors are the eyes of your machine. Make sure they see clearly. Not sometimes. Every time. Your production depends on it. Not just on the machine moving. On the machine knowing what is happening. Sensors provide that knowledge. Choose them carefully. Mount them correctly.
